Players: Code of Conduct (U18s)
It is important everyone behaves themselves when playing football.

As a player, you have a big part to play. That's why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.

When playing football, I will:
-
Always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger.
-
Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time.
-
Never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager.
-
Do what the referee tells me.
-
Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.
-
Listen to my coach/team manager and respect what he/she says.
-
Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.

I understand that if I do not follow the code, action may be taken.

Community Value
What do we mean by Community?
We will be an integral part of the community in which we play and will foster the growth and development of football in West Hallam and surrounding villages by engaging with the local community and businesses to create a financially sustainable club that is at the heart of the local community. We will promote and cultivate friendships between players and families throughout the club and be proud of our history and the accomplishments we have made as a club. To recognise and celebrate players’ success and recognise and acknowledge positive attitudes and behaviours.

Identity Colour: Historic Mercury
The first known record of West Hallam Football Club originates in 1886 and the club’s first ever mention in history is in the Derby Mercury newspaper. The article documents the involvement of the football club in welcoming back Mr Bristowe to the village after competing in a boat race for Cambridge University. We link this to our value of community as ever since the club has been founded, we have played a part in our local community. It reflects the club's commitment to fostering local engagement, celebrating its heritage, and recognising players' successes, aligning closely with the value of community at the heart of the club's ethos.

How do we implement our Community value?
-
We will offer a pathway into football that is both affordable to the participant and sustainable. The Club will offer discounts to siblings with reductions of up to 50% and specific arrangements for families who are struggling (decided by the club treasurer).
-
West Hallam Juniors will be an inclusive club offering football opportunities for children from the ages of 4-18 as well as seniors when demand allows it.
-
West Hallam Juniors will ensure there are footballing opportunities for girls by investing money into subsiding the formation of girl teams and actively promoting them.
-
We will work with Gigaclear to offer discount to members of the football club and the local community.
-
All our coaches will represent West Hallam Juniors positively not just on the pitch, but within the community as well.
-
Building positive relationships with the players and knowing your players lives outside of the football.
-
Organising team events to build team spirit amongst the coaches, players, and parents.
-
We will promote friendship and social interaction within the local community with team/club events or social gatherings.
-
The Club will work with other local groups like the Scargill PTA, the Cricket Clubs and the West Hallam Parish Council.
-
We will promote and celebrate local Businesses/Organisations/Charities by forms of sponsorship, Facebook promotions and participation in locally organised events.
-
To investigate and implement improvements to local infrastructure and playing facilities where possible.
-
Know our Club History and be proud of our achievements as well as promoting it on the Club website and Gigaclear Powtrell Pavilion.
