Players: Code of Conduct (U18s)
It is important everyone behaves themselves when playing football.

As a player, you have a big part to play. That's why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.

When playing football, I will:
-
Always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger.
-
Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time.
-
Never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager.
-
Do what the referee tells me.
-
Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.
-
Listen to my coach/team manager and respect what he/she says.
-
Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.

I understand that if I do not follow the code, action may be taken.

Respect Value
What do we mean by Respect?
Respect should be given to everyone involved in the game - referees, coaches, and the opposition. We believe in the fair and equal treatment of all persons involved in the club and will respect the rights and dignity of every player regardless of gender, ability, cultural background, age or religion. We will develop well rounded young players through the teaching of respect, humility, integrity and fair play always.

Identity Colour: Woollen White
The first West Hallam junior side was called West Hallam Rams so in honour of that we have the colour woollen white. The team was first founded in 1980 and managed by Roger Green and Phil Kerry. This team would grow into our junior section today. We link this colour to our value of respect as it is something which has always been a cornerstone of every West Hallam Juniors side since the Rams. It embodies purity and integrity, echoing the value of respect upheld by the club. This colour signifies the fair and equal treatment of all individuals, promoting respect, humility, and integrity in every aspect of the game. Along with having a clean disciplinary record within the club.

How do we implement our Respect value?
-
All members of the club will promote positive behaviours which include but not limited to shaking hands after games with officials, coaches and players, checking on injured players, apologising for any infraction.
-
West Hallam Juniors members will refrain from using aggressive or bullying behaviour towards match officials, opposition players, Coaches, parents and within your own team environment.
-
We will take care of the environment/venue matches you play and train at. Members should place any rubbish in bins, clean or remove boots before entering facilities(where possible) and ensure facilities are left clean and tidy. Any damage that may have occurred either to equipment or facility must be reported immediately to the coaches, with the coach then making the club/opposing club aware.
-
All members should conduct themselves in appropriate manner and show respect for acts of remembrance and schemes which promote inclusivity, equality and positive behaviour.
-
The Club will host respect meetings to teams to ensure respect is upheld throughout and use appropriate sanctions following the behaviour pathway and disciplinary procedure when expectations are not met.
-
Encourage and promote good behaviour both inside and outside of the football club.
