Players: Code of Conduct (U18s)
It is important everyone behaves themselves when playing football.

As a player, you have a big part to play. That's why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.

When playing football, I will:
-
Always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger.
-
Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time.
-
Never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager.
-
Do what the referee tells me.
-
Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.
-
Listen to my coach/team manager and respect what he/she says.
-
Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.

I understand that if I do not follow the code, action may be taken.

I recognise that as a player for West Hallam Junior Football Club I must maintain the high standards set out in the club’s code of conduct above. I understand that if the code of conduct is broken that it may result in action being taken by the club, the Derbyshire FA and the FA.
Community
-
I recognise the importance of being an integral part of the community in which we play.
-
I will foster friendships between players and families throughout the club and celebrate our history and accomplishments.
-
I will recognise and celebrate my teammates' success and acknowledge positive attitudes and behaviours within the club.
-
I will fully co-operate with others in football (officials, doctors, physio therapists, welfare officers) for each player's best interests.
Respect
-
I will show respect to everyone involved in the game, including referees, coaches, players, and the opposition.
-
I will treat all individuals with fairness, equality, and dignity, regardless of gender, ability, race, age, or religion.
-
I will never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager.
-
I will shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.
Enjoyment
-
I acknowledge that football is a source of joy and pleasure, and I will strive to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the game.
-
I will focus on the process of learning and development, finding satisfaction in improving my skills and contributing to the team's success, rather than solely on winning.
-
I will participate in creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment for all players, ensuring that everyone feels valued, included, and able to enjoy the game to the fullest.
Endeavour
-
I am committed to striving for my best in every aspect of my footballing journey.
-
I will set high standards for myself, both on and off the pitch, and work tirelessly to achieve them.
-
I will encourage my teammates through my dedication, discipline, and positive attitude, aiming to positively influence their development and success.
-
I will always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger.
