Players: Code of Conduct (U18s)
It is important everyone behaves themselves when playing football.

As a player, you have a big part to play. That's why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.

When playing football, I will:
-
Always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger.
-
Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time.
-
Never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager.
-
Do what the referee tells me.
-
Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.
-
Listen to my coach/team manager and respect what he/she says.
-
Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.

I understand that if I do not follow the code, action may be taken.

I will never be rude to any player, the other team, the referee, spectators or the team’s coaches.
-
I will display high standards of behaviour at matches and training.
-
I will never criticise a player for making a mistake as they are part of learning journey.

I understand that children play football for fun and enjoyment, and I will encourage a positive and supportive atmosphere at matches and training sessions.
-
I will refrain from placing undue pressure on players to achieve results and will prioritise their learning, development, and enjoyment over winning.
-
I recognise the club will promote fair playing time (50% minimum over the course of a season for the games the player is eligible for selection).
Endeavour
-
I will strive to uphold the highest standards of behaviour and conduct during matches and club activities.
-
I will act as a positive role model, promoting health, education, and holistic development among young footballers.

-
I will support the manager of the team where I can help.
